Real life studies based on meals and food

American Dinner

Oil on Linen

This series delves into the mundane beauty of food, inspired by the long history of still-life painting. Fruit vases and meals have been depicted for centuries, not only as symbols of abundance but also as meditations on the passage of time. These works were mainly an exercise in composition and balance—arranging ordinary objects into something visually compelling while reflecting on their impermanence.

By painting food, I capture its fleeting nature, both as a source of nourishment and as organic matter inevitably subject to decay.
