The Red Collection

Taking inspiration from the inside of the human body: veins, flesh and organs, the Red Collection explores the limits of our organism. The three pieces- belt, sleeves and purse are all made from scratch using a simple sewing machine.

Thematics

The Red Colelction explores thematics of constriction and expansion- of living and dying, inflating and deflating, and the limits of the carbon based living organisms.

The sleeve's pattern mimick blood veins. Stitched on red mesh fabric, they offer texture to an otherwise smooth fabric. The belt acts as a corset, constructed to mimick our muscles and their envelopment of our vessel. The purse, titled Flesh Bag, combines both of the latter elements to create an extension of the body that honors our interior structure and nature's design.
