The Kjeragbolten chair

Inspired by "Kjeragbolten", a unique boulder wedged between two cliffs in Norway, my birthcountry.

Hand made stool, 100% walnut wood with only joinery for attachments.

The piece also makes reference to ovulation in the human body, and thematic of compression and birth.

Because the stool does not utilize any glue, the pieces are detachable. The sphere held in the middle can be removed from the piece, as can the circular seating shown to the left.

This circular sphere was hand-sanded to be shaped from a cube to its current sphere form.
